Pain Coaching

After a long history of debilitating chronic pain, I discovered the skills to resolve my problem outside of conventional medicine. I'm now a researcher at MIT looking to share frameworks I've developed in free 30-minute coaching calls.
Moving you from pain to ease using a multidisciplinary complex systems approach.
Whether you’re a developer, manager, or someone with a high intensity role, you can’t let the pain take you off your edge. But what do you do when physical therapy and even surgery isn’t really working?
You change the angle of approach.
For many people, physiotherapy and even surgery does not fully resolve chronic pain. This is because pain is not only a ‘hardware problem’; it’s also a software problem. Wrist pain, for example, involves your amygdala just as much as your carpal ligaments. The default biomechanical understanding of pain completely fails to account for this.
Drawing from neuroscience, complexity theory, and embodied movement, I’ll teach you the skills and knowledge to debug your own pain.
We might be a good fit if you:
Have persistent back, knee, or wrist pain, or migraines; you’ve been to doctors or physiotherapists with little success
Are a founder, developer, PM, or a technically minded person with a demanding role
Are open to taking a more flexible, multi-disciplinary approach to learning the skills to let you debug your pain
I went from unable to type to doing handstands daily
About me
I've got two degrees from MIT and have worked at both the Harvard Moral Psychology Research Lab and the MIT Computational Cognitive Science Lab. After experiencing extensive chronic pain during my graduate program, my focus shifted to understanding and ultimately resolving my pain.
Now, as a researcher, I try to articulate the dynamics of pain using everything ranging from active inference to phenomenological interviews. As a practitioner, I use this knowledge to create self-guided practices that aim to bring lasting relief from chronic pain.
I'm trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, a modality using awareness to recalibrate the nervous system, and care deeply about equipping people with the skills and knowledge to relieve themselves from pain.
